Editor review
Signing up was easy. You have to sign up before you can download the software, then login after it is installed onto your computer or through their website.
Backup
As soon as you are logged in the software will display your folders and suggest a couple for you to backup by default. The navigation is the same 'folder tree' structure you will see in Windows or Finder. It's easy to select the folders/files you want. Click 'Backup Now' or schedule for a later date. This was simple for us, although it isn't as automated as other software has been.
Scheduling
We think IDrive has one of the best scheduling tools available in online backup. You can set hourly, daily, per selected day, weekly, and the time at which it starts. Or you can program it to only work manually. You can have notifications sent to your desktop or email on completion.
Restoring
It is really easy to restore. You can use the software or the website. If you were able to backup using the software, you can restore. We found it pretty self explanatory. The website access allows you to download files, but navigating the site is a little confusing. If you are looking for the root or home of your computer, you have to use the "path" to click on the location you wanting to go to.
Conclusion
We like IDrive a lot. Mostly because of it's nice set of features. They do a great job at getting backups completed while keeping it simple. If you are wanting to sync files like Dropbox or Google Drive, you have to use their other product, IDrive Sync. It's pretty good as well. Their website left us with more to be desired. They have the essentials, but navigating, sharing and downloading were all more difficult then it should have been.

Pros and Cons
Pros and Cons
When you install the android app you give them full access to all your information and the ability to change whatever they want. This was one of the first things I did when signing up and realized how stupid it would be to continue. I have no idea how secure the rest of idrive is.
