I started out being a very happy customer. Justcloud.com is fast and the GUI is nice. I was so happy that I bought 2 years license with unlimited backup and a lot of their extra services a year ago. But a few days ago I recievd an email telling me that my account was flagged. I had uploaded about 1700 GB data. I was told to cancel my account within 30 days and move to their Business account wich cost a lot more. To get 2 TB of data it would cost me 125$ a month. I cancelled my account and asked for a refund - at least for some of my money - as I had payed for two years and not even used one year backup. But they denied giving me any kind of refund.

I will not recommend this company. They are not telling the truth about their products and I will never use Justcloud.com again. Instead I have found another online backup that gives me "real" unlimited backup for only 50$ - a year!!!!

Keep away from Justcloud.com if you do not want to get a bad surprise and pay a lot for nothing.

Just cloud purely SCAM, one of the biggest in the internet .
I had 3 year unlimited upload account and they kick me out because they want me to upgrade to business user.
They change the terms when ever they like, even if its means to kill their users .

JUST CLOUD IS A SCAM.

I opened an account last year and had accounting issues right at the get go. I originally got a fixed storage account to start with but, after a week I decided to go for the unlimited account. When I got billed, instead of crediting my account with what I had already paid and billing me the difference, they billed me for the entire unlimited account. So essentially I was double billed.

My first issue was with the performance impact on my system when data was being uploaded. The tech started out with "We are best company there is; customers never complain; you must be wrong". It took them three emails to admit there was an issue.

They started adding charges for stuff that was included in the original agreement, ( external drives, large files, second computer )

Finally after a year of slow backups, (by this time I had 867 GB by backed up files), I took my Mac to the office and backed up some recent photo's, ( 12 GB ). It took four hours. I was really impressed. That same day I received an email, stating I was now considered a business and would have to buy a business account, or have my files deleted in thirty days.

So, now I had to either have my files deleted or pay $55 a month, ( I was paying $8.95/mo. ).

I told them exactly what they could do with their service and proceeded to download all the files I had in storage.

I cancelled after they told me my usage was outside the bounds of a normal user.
I bought unlimited storage for $6.95 a month and stored all my photos(800GB)
Unlimited is unlimited.
They complained. I reacted.
If you advertise unlimited you had better mean it

Beware - this system has a trapdoor and a huge catch. I had a photo problem where all my photographs (about 3,500) created 5 files of each photo = 17,500 photos. This used up all my backup space. I then resolved the issue and deleted all of the four duplicate photos on my computer. When I tried to delete all my backups on JustCloud, I was told that I could not. You are virtually forced to delete every one individually. This takes three clicks with the mouse ans it is very slow.
I think this system is deliberately designed like this so that you simply have to buy more space.
It is a real trapdoor.

Let's see: the synch folder doesn't synch, backup runs each night to report "0 files backed up", the email support button says email isn't working, this thing is a complete dud.

I have the "unlimited plan", I then had to pay for all of the "large file", "movies", "real speed" and what have you add-on's, all super-annoying but I did. I have a large on-PC movie collection, I want a backup, so what can one do. I now have 2TB uploaded (out of 28TB, not even 10%), and I think I hit some magic/invisible barrier. So, apparently unlimited is anything but unlimited.

Synch is supposed to make files from 1 PC visible on another, and it doesn't. A PC can see its own files, but only some of what the other machines synched some of the time. JC-support acknowledged this issue, and gave me 10G additional free synch space because it is not on any current timeline to fix it. They're too busy making the basics work (this is per their own statement). Too bad synch doesn't work with even just 10MB of files, so what does that 10G help?

Backup reports every night that it ran successfully, except after the first upload nothing gets added/changed. JC-support hasn't answered that one yet, after 3 months of me trying to contact them.

When you ask to email support via their web-site, it errors out in that email is unavailable and please come back later. I have the "support@justcloud.com" email address, but so far no answer there either.

All in all: this thing is useless. Everything it says it does, it then doesn't actually d. But, they're very good about taking another payment. That part works like clock-work. I've asked for my money back, and, true to form, nothing yet...

I can't recommend a replacement yet, but I'm off looking...

DO NOT use this company if you ever plan to cancel your account!! Was happy with service until my first year was about up and I knew that the renewal date was coming up. I decided to start looking around to make sure there wasn't another online backup program that would work just as well as this one, but at a less expensive price. I just happened to check my bank account a week before my renewal date with JustCloud and realized they had already deducted the yearly fee out of my checking account. Not only that, but the price had gone up almost $40 from the original price of a year ago. When I sent an email to have my account cancelled and asked for my refund, all they did was keep sending me emails offering me discounted prices to renew my contract. I'm still fighting with them to get my money back even though their terms and policy clearly state that I am entitled to a full refund. Buyer beware!!

though the sum of my 'ratings' by category add up to a decent overall my actual overall would be a 3 star. They offer great space/price, but misleading pricing schemes. Dont trust their money back garauntee. If you must try this service opt for the 1 month service and kiss your $$ goodbye.

I signed up for this because of the allure of unlimited space for a low price. While signing up they offered me steeper discounts to increase my length of contract for one large upfront payment(red flag 1). I thought "why not? they have a 30-day money back garauntee if I'm unhappy.". I ended up selecting the 2 yr plan(shame on me). Then they take you to a screen with a bunch of "upgrades", some of which I assumed would be included features(red flag 2). I declined and they tried to goad me into buying some by offering 50% off as a one time offer(red flag 3), but I declined(smart move). I began uploading my files only to find that many of my files had to be uploaded manually and that large files uploaded at a snails pace. After considering my options I decided to cancel. They threw a bunch of free upgrades at me to stay, but ultimately couldn't change my opinion. Finally, They would not honor their money back garauntee. Even though I cancelled after just 20 days they still withheld $14.95 as a 'early cancellation fee' citing some part of the user agreement. I do not feel an early cancellation fee should apply to a 30-day money back garauntee, but they already knew they'd get nothing else for me so I guess I'm SOL.

As far as the upgrades(the free ones they gave me) go, the automatic video backup didn't seem to work(I still had to upload them manually). The 5GB file size for auto back up made very little difference for me. The speed boost did slightly increase speed, but then I was limited by the upload speeds my ISP would allow(not justcloud's fault) so I cant say how fast it really could be.

The company is a scam.

-Your payment information is kept hidden so you cannot remove it from the site.
-The site is full of one-click purchases so your account is constantly charged with unneeded features.
-Even when fully upgraded, you still get harassed with annoying emails, promotions, and discounts.
-Canceling an account is a cumbersome process that takes over 2 weeks.

I dont understand all the glowing reviews for this company. The cost is just basic use of the service. Absolutely no extra's.. when you sign up you get presented with another screen with all the extra's and costs. The backups are sloooow. It was going to take me 7 days to back up. I used another service and it took 30 hours. When I finally had enough of the popups from my system try and speed, I tried to cancel. OMG.. it took me over 9 days to do so and then they refund all but $14.. yes, they keep $14 for early termination even though I cancelled on day 4. They bombard you with endless emails and offers. Horrid company to deal with.
